The Waxahachie HS Drama Dept. will add a familiar face to our team starting Fall of 2023. Kaiden Maines is coming back home! Kaiden graduated in 2016 from WHS and was a predominant member of the WHS Drama Dept. Kaiden was Best Actress at the 2015 OAP State Contest and won Best Actress at DSM High School Musical Theatre Awards in 2016. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BFA in Acting. Upon graduation she got the head drama director position at Blooming Grove HS where she took her OAP team to State Contest 2 years in a row! This past year she was the head director at Lewisville HS.

"Y’all….my wish was granted…I’M MAKING MY BROADWAY DEBUT!!!! I’m so happy to be joining the B’way company of Aladdin as the Standby Genie/Babkak/Sultan! It’s crazy that just a few months ago I was wondering if pursuing theatre as a career was even gonna be in the cards for me but fast forward to now and WONT HE DO IT🙏🏾Thank you to all of my family, teachers, friends, and support team for always holding me up!
